Cannes

Cannes is one of the best-known cities of the French Riviera, a busy tourist destination and host of the annual Cannes Film Festival with many attending celebrities. The city is also famous for its various luxury shops, restaurants and hotels. The surrounding area of the city has been developed in to a district with many hightech companies with the technologycenter Sophia-Antipolis situated in the hills surrounding Cannes. The climate is Mediterranean and the city enjoys 12 hours of sunshine per day during summer (May to September). Boulevard de La Croisette is the cities waterfront avenue with palm trees and is famous for it's beaches, restaurants, cafés and boutiques. Cannes has an International railway station from which TGV's depart in the directions of Nice, Lyon and Paris. The International airport of Nice can be reached in 20 minutes by car.

The Novotel will be the venue for the EPF5 main event. This four star hotel is situated within the city in a peaceful setting but still within a ten minute walk of the famous boulevard La Croisette. The conference will be held in the auditorium of the hotel and some of the adjoining meeting rooms. All hotel rooms have their own private terrace/balcony with panoramic view (seaside or mountain). Next to this the hotel has a large private garden with palm trees and a big swimming pool. During the main event Free Internet will be provided throughout the whole hotel. The hotel has it's own large indoor parking (300 places). Novotel Montfleury has 150 rooms available for EPF attendees at a the special conference rate of 130,30 euros a night including breakfast for single occupation and 151,60 euros for double occupation from the 17th of september till the 26th. As of the 20th of August the Novotel has been fully booked during the EPF. Other hotels

If you do not wish to stay at the Novotel please be advised that Cannes is a very popular destination and hotel rooms fill up quickly even in September. There are a lot of hotels in Cannes and as it is not a very large town you will be in easy reach of the Novotel from anywhere in the city center. If you want to stay within a comfortable walking distance of the main venue we do advise you to look for a hotel in the surrounding area. We refer from giving specific hotel suggestions as we already noticed that a lot of hotels only have a few rooms left for online booking. We went out of our way to pick some really great venues for our opening, main and closing socials and as we are in the Mediterranean midst september it will all be about private beaches, poolsides and great views. Without disclosing to many details yet... we did manage to get the terrace with the most beautiful panoramic view of the whole French riviera all to ourselves!
